“All that I am or hope to be I owe to my Angel Mother”… My mother’s greatest gift to me was her unconditional love and her belief that that there is no power in the world greater than the power of LOVE and forgiveness...

We all come into this world with nothing and we leave with nothing. The only thing left is your name and how you are remembered. So be kind, caring and helpful.

Always set the table before you go to work. It makes you look organized when you get home. If you've got eggs, you've got a meal. Even if it's a sandwich, eat something for breakfast. Work hard. You get what you give. ❤️

I used to complain about my curly hair. I wanted straight hair like Rosemary’s. “Someday you’ll be glad you have curly hair,” my mother told me. My mother was right. I don’t hate my hair anymore. It makes me think of my mother.

Mom's advice was "Everyday look in the mirror and know you are looking at a wonderful person. Then go out and let someone else know how wonderful they are as well."

My mom was an incredibly supportive and strong lady who always put her family first. She was proud of me throughout my life, even when I made some memorable mistakes. I learned from both of my parents to have a good sense of humor. My mom especially loved to tell jokes. We laughed a lot. I miss that the most.

My mother was a lady of few words and led life by example. We were absolute best friends and I miss her terribly. I chose a picture that showed her spirit. She was a teen, but she never lost that spark. Her words of advice were “Be yourself”.

Momisms: (For encouragement) "You can do it - you just have to remember to hold your tongue right!" (When hearing someone brag) "Wow! Let me pin a medal on you." (Licks finger and pokes you in the chest.) (In response to "What are you doing, Mom?") "I'm taking a Chinese bath."

If I could quote a song that describes my beloved Mom's influence in our lives, it would be "You Raise Me Up". She truly taught us to be strong and to climb whatever mountain that might challenge our lives. Mom was strong yet gentle. She is the angel who continues to guide me even though her physical presence can no longer walk beside me. Loving you through eternity, Mom. Thank you.

Three of the top words of wisdom: "You're responsible for yourself, no one else. Make good decisions." "You'll ALWAYS have my home to call your home, any time you need it." "Always teach your children to crawl DOWN the stairs before you let them climb UP."

What most impressed me was she was always creating - she sewed clothes, drapes, bedspreads, my prom gown; she knit hundreds of mittens, slipper socks, scarves, sweaters; she crocheted; she made miniature doll furniture, dollhouse food; she made dolls; she put up jellies, jams, pickles; she made ceramics... - her hands are what I think of most - how they worked over things and I see them still when I touch the many things she gave me. Learning by example was her advice and encouragement.

My mother always said that all of your feelings are okay. She taught me to never be afraid nor ashamed of your feelings. My mom is 87 years old and is living a very full and interesting life filled with compassion, friends, family and activities. She's my total role model and I hope I am this for my daughter.
